#TaiwanBlockchainEnthusiastsAssociation #5thGeneralMeetingAndFoundingOfTheSecondBoard "Co-creation between Web2 and Web3 companies takes all of us, working to set a multi-party ecosystem in motion. Co-Triumph, Co-Win." ===== Looking back ===== Since 2016 the Taiwan Blockchain Summit has been planned and run by a group of people with a strong belief in blockchain, coming together to exchange the newest industry trends. The Taiwan Blockchain Enthusiasts Association itself was founded in 2019, with the hope that under the leadership of chair Kao Chi-chun it could help Taiwanese industry move from Web2 to Web3. Over four years, alongside the annual summit, the association has worked with many partners to raise public understanding of blockchain, let people experience crypto assets and tokens, and give companies the knowledge they need to assess decentralised applications. It has planned and run a number of forums and workshops, including the TAVAR Taiwan–Korea metaverse draw, the TWNIC Web3 ecosystem and use-case co-creation workshops, and the first WAGMI Pitch Battle. Meanwhile N24 Taipei ARK, the blockchain innovation base the association has operated since 2020, has been through several bull and bear cycles and has watched the field rebuild itself again and again. It has now hosted more than 170 innovation and entrepreneurship events on blockchain themes, growing stronger with each rebuilding. ===== Looking ahead ===== The association's 5th general meeting and the founding of its second board concluded on 31 March. Kao Chi-chun said the association's plans for the next four years will centre on blockchain applications that bring together ESG, creator empowerment, and hypercerts. Later in 2023 it also plans to hold a Funding the Commons forum, bringing the Web3 ideas of self-determined information and shared resources into everyday life — the association itself being a public good — and so contributing to a sustainable society. On creator empowerment, the association will work to make Taipei friendly to intellectual property, helping the IP industry create commercial value through matchmaking at N24 Taipei ARK and at its events, in service of the city's goal of putting Taipei on the world's calendar.
