How does MarTech work in the Web3 era? The 7th Taiwan Blockchain Summit brings the potential of NFTs to life

Web3 世代的 MarTech 怎麼玩?第七屆臺灣區塊鏈愛好者年會引領體驗 NFT 應用潛能

NFTs went through an enormous boom last year, reaching fifth place in Taiwan's annual search rankings for 2021. It did not last: as the crypto bear market arrived, NFT trading volume fell away in 2022 and the field entered a winter. Is the NFT just another term that rose and fell? As Twitter and Instagram have both opened up NFT profile pictures and digital collectibles, a consensus about the use and value of NFTs is forming again. So how should NFTs and MarTech work together in the Web3 era? Since 2016 the association has held the Taiwan Blockchain Summit every year, inviting leading figures to share industry trends and the newest applications. The 7th summit, held under the guidance of the Taiwan Blockchain Alliance, takes place on 19 November alongside Meet Taipei at the Taipei Expo Park Expo Dome. Under the theme "DAO Ops", it brings together partners including da0, DNA Club, Binance, and Kronos, and combines subjects such as public blockchains, ESG, and DeFi to explore the depth and breadth of the Web3 world. This year's summit issues an NFT for the first time. Drawing on how widely people use social media, and combining it with MarTech in the Web3 era, it aims to create new potential in technology marketing and to let the public and companies experience more of what blockchain enables. "We are not selling NFTs. We are using the NFT as what a token fundamentally is — a proof of attendance protocol. Attend a panel talk and you receive a free NFT; collect six different ones and you qualify for the iPhone 14 draw," said Kao Chi-chun, chair of the Taiwan Blockchain Enthusiasts Association.
